Smart Kitchen Summit Announces The Startup Cook-Off
One of the most exciting aspects of the connected kitchen is the sheer amount of innovation evident in every corner of this fast-growing space. From food storage to cooking to education and delivery, the entire food ecosystem is experiencing change and disruption.
This fast pace of change in the world of food and cooking has caught the attention of the tech and venture capital community, where food tech garnered over $1 billion in venture investment over the past year. This is exciting for us at the Smart Kitchen Summit, where we see the connected kitchen at the epicenter of change in food tech and the connected home.
One of the things we wanted to do in creating the Smart Kitchen Summit was harness that innovation and excitement for just one day in one place. We knew a big part of this meant featuring the brightest stars in the smart kitchen universe as part of our agenda of panels and firesides, and we've done just that. Just check out the speakers and topics and you'll see what we mean.
But we also wanted to make sure we could feature some of the emerging voices in this space, and what better way to do that than have some startups pitch their concepts and get feedback? With this in mind, I talked to some of the smartest folks in the food tech investment landscape to see if there was interest in a smart kitchens startup pitch session (aka cook-off). And there was lots of excitement.
So today we're proud to announce we'll be having the first inaugural Smart Kitchen Startup Cook-Off, where entrepreneurs with the next great idea in the connected kitchen can pitch their concept, product and company to the leading voices in the IoT and connected kitchen hardware community.
If you are a smart kitchen startup with what you see as the next great idea in the connected kitchen, apply today. Winners will get engineering and business mentorship from both Highway1 and Lemnos Labs, two of most respected hardware incubators in Silicon Valley.
Plus, you might have what it takes to be called the winner of the first ever Smart Kitchen Startup Cook-Off.
The event will be held on November 5th at the Smart Kitchen Summit in Seattle. The deadline for application is September 20th.
