The pre-conference workshops and evening reception/Smart Kitchen Startup Showcase on October 5th will be held at the historic Edgewater Hotel. The pre-conference workshops (which require a pre-conference workshop/conference ticket) will take place from 1:00-4:50 and the opening reception/Startup Showcase will take place from 5:30-7:30.
The full day of programming on October 6th for the Smart Kitchen Summit 2016 will be held at Benaroya Hall, the home of the Seattle Symphony and one of the most beautiful buildings in all of Seattle.
Opening in 1998, Benaroya is a world-class building known for its technology-infused acoustics and modern design. The lobby of the hall features a large contribution of glass art, such as one given the title Crystal Cascade, by world-renowned artist Dale Chihuly.
You can learn more about Benaroya Hall at their website.
(For those interested in the backstory about how Port of Seattle construction schedules resulted in moving SKS from Bell Harbor Convention Center to a better building, see this post).
There are a variety of quality hotels in the Seattle downtown area in close proximity or an Uber ride away from the Edgewater Hotel (where the Pre-Conference Workshops, opening reception and Startup Showcase take place on October 5th) and Benaroya Hall (where the conference main day will be held on October 6th). We suggest Hotels.com to find downtown Seattle hotels for October 5th and 6th.
