Charlotte Skidmore joined AHAM in 2011 and serves as AHAM’s Director, Energy and Environmental Policy. Skidmore provides analysis and facilitates policy and strategy development on environmental and technology-related issues such as end-of-life management, sustainability, IoT, connected appliances, smart grid, and green chemistry.
Prior to joining AHAM, Skidmore served as Associate Director of Environment and Regulation for the White House Council on Environmental Quality, directly advising the council chairman on environmental issues such as climate change, renewable energy, and air toxics while collaborating with senior officials throughout the White House Office of Management and Budget, the National Economic Council and the Environmental Protection Agency. She was responsible for the formulation and execution of the EPA’s budget for air, chemical and international issues and OMB’s Report to Congress on Climate Change Expenditures.
